Every now and then we’ll be posting up tips to help you sell your games faster and buy your games easier. So now we present to you Selling Tip #436 : Skip the Queue

When selling your game on Gamestaq, there’s the easy way to sell and then there’s the AWESOME way.

The easy way is to post your game at our set rate, sit back while you wait your turn in the queue, and let us find you a buyer.

But for those of you who want to see your game sell fast and get your cash faster, we created an AWESOME tool to help out. We call it Skip the Queue!

The “Skip the Queue” feature allows you to instantly sell YOUR copy of any game, no matter what your place in the queue may be.

How does it work? For any game you post we’ll provide you with a unique url  that links directly to your posted copy of the game. You can post that link anywhere on the inter-webs, and when someone buys the game via your link, your copy sells instantly, almost like magic :-p

Here are some suggestions on where to post your unique link to maximize the awesomeness:

• Twitter – You can use the “Tweet” link in your Dashboard, or better yet, make a custom message to your followers.  Encourage re-tweeting for maximum results.
• Facebook – Make sure to add some of your own words to the post, you don’t want to sound like an ad.
• Forums – Try sites like cheapassgamer.com and boards that you already post on.  You can put the link in your signature and talk about it in appropriate threads, but don’t spam.
• Your Blog – Your blog post will practically write itself:  Review the game, recount your favorite moments, then offer your readers a great deal!
• Email – Paste your link into your favorite email application and send it off to your classmates, collegues, teammates, clan, crew, posse, whoever.

Keep in mind, the “Skip the Queue” link is useful for any game you’re looking to sell, popular or not.

When we set out to create Gamestaq, we wanted to make sure of two things. Fair market value and simplicity. If we can deliver these two things, we believe we can make the pre-played games market a better place for everyone.

In order to ensure a fair price on all games, we use an independent games price catalogue to deteremine the real market value of your games. The catalogue compares prices from retail stores and sites all over the net to determine the real market value. This price is what both the buyer and the seller get, which results in lower prices for buyers, and higher payouts for sellers.

To simplify everything, we removed multi-layered fees, annoying auction monitoring, and complicated posting processes. We want Gamestaq.com to be the quickest and easiest way to buy and sell your games. Buy it, get it, play it. Or list it, ship it, get paid. It’s the 21st century; It shouldn’t be harder than that.
